Getting the Wheeling Fever

Got my CJ7 back together tonight finally. For those of you that have been involved in my tales of woe, it finally all came together. No more blow-by or oil leaks and I would say I picked up quite a few horses too. The truck runs great! Plus I dressed it up a little with an aluminum valve cover and a 9" chrome air cleaner for the 2100 carb. I also got rid of some more smog stuff, so now to troubleshoot anything in the truck is rather simple.
My next project is either a track bar for the front or possibly the brakes (or a louder horn LOL). I know I have at least one rotor that is bad. It has some pretty nasty grooves in it. Whoever did the last brake job just slapped a set of pads on and away they went.

Glad you got it going, I suggest fixing the brakes next. What good is a track bar if you can't stop? <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />

Actually it stops ok. With all the grooves in the rotor, it is just a matter of time before the pads are wore out. I'm OK for the foreseeable future as far as brakes are concerned. The track bar doesn't look too big of a deal if I make it myself. There is a guy on ebay selling them for $179, but they don't look too difficult to make. Mike
