Ok i'm not getting spark on 3 and 6 coil. so i pulled the code and found that my cam shaft sensor is faulting. so i replaced it with and old one off my broken engine (which was working before i throw a rod on it). now that it is installed i'm still geting the same code.
just to see what code i would get after unplugging the CRANKSHAFT sensor nothing happened i'm still geting the code 23 which is the cam sensor not the crank.
so would you think it is the crank sensor? i would test that but don't have the sensor around

thanks
lee

Body Damage is Cool
Sounds most likely like a broken wire or bad connection at a plug in connector on your cam sensor wiring harness. Trace the wires from the cam sensor back to the ecm if you can. I would get out the wiring diagram, find the terminal at the ecm connector that the cam sensor signal comes in at, then check for continuity between that terminal & the cam sensor plug. If you have continuity, then you either have another bad cam sensor (not likely, but an outside possibility) or the ecm has a problem.
