You guys are good...real good.

I thought I was good in finding bargains, but no where near $1300 or $2500 for a drivable T100. Best bargain I've found locally was a T100 ('95+ with 3.4) with a blown engine for $3000 here in TX.

As for mpg, it's interesting that many people would get 19/20, and yet, the 3 T100 I've had were all much lower. My current '95 4x4 is all stock, running 31" tires, and I can only manage 17mpg, mix of city/fwy. My best was my #2 T100 @ 18mpg mix, but that was a 4x2. This is all with fully tuned engine, and driving like a grandma (which I'm getting sadly used to with the gas $) <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

02 Tacoma Double Cab TRD Prerunner .. just added 3" lift .. more to come

Yeah, I haven't seen any in the $1300 to $2500 price range either. I have seen a lot of them for $5900 to $7900 so I thought I got a pretty decent deal. Whatever though, I love my truck so I have no regrets.

1997 T100 extracab, 3.4L, 5-speed, 169K, 4x4. Love the truck, never buy anything but toyota, I tried it once, most miserable six months of my life.

I bought my first t100 from toyota of plano v6 AT 2wd in 1993 (new)for 14k. Then bought a 96 4x4 dx ext cab in 1998 for 18k. Got divorced Ex took it and I bought it back this July for 5.5k with 158k miles on it, and it runs like it did in 98 with 30k miles on it. The 93 I sold to a friend who still has it and it too runs like a top.

Makes me feel like I got ripped off. I paid $3500 and 177K on the chassis but 80K on the new motor, proclaimed. I just got mine shipped up here from FL. Has anyone lifted the 2WD? I am now selling my '89 Toyota Extd cab automatic w/ 177K miles w/ 3" body lift. 2WD w/ 30X9.5R15 tires. I think it needs a head gasket. $152. but I wanted a bigger truck anyway. I will probably sell it for $1200.00. I love this truck and no regrets for me either.Gave me my reason.

there have been a few members of the board with lited 2wd trucks, you could do a simple fabtech upper control arm kit with torsion bars and an AAL or a body lift like you asked about in your other post....

4crawler.com sells a balljoint spacer which will give you upto 1.5" of lift.
