I have a '58 cj5 with lousy 9" brakes. Last year I had to replace a front brake cylinder. I pulled it apart and it was a 3/4" one. Ordered same and went my way. Last wek the other front one went and I ordered from 4wd.com. They sent a 1" cylinder. I questioned them and they replied that my '58 should have 1" cylinders in front and 3/4" cylinders in the back. First I've heard of this. I go to get back on the road, should I order a 3/4 from somewhere else or replace both fronts with the 1"?? Some of these old cj's have been canabalized so bad you cant tell whats on em. And sometimes the factory would put on old stuff from the previous years to use of the backstock they had on the years parts. If they worked fine before i would stay with whats on em. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />
