Getting the Wheeling Fever
Where do the heater hoses run and the sizes? When I bought the Jeep, the heater housing was laying in the back seat and the heater hookups on the engine were bypassed into each other. Evidently the previous owner didn't need heat in Cali.

Anywho, here is what I have for hookups:

Top heater core
Bottom heater core
Water pump
Thermostat housing
front intake manifold
rear intake manifold

Obviously, two of the connectors on the engine go to each other.

What sizes of hoses do I use for each routing?
Thanks
Mike

Water goes,
from waterpump to top core-bottom core to rear manifold-front manifold to thermostat

Hose size is 3/4 or 5/8 you got the pipe, measure it.
the front manifold to thermostat hose should be available as a shaped hose at the parts store. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />

Cool. Didn't know there was actually a premade hose for the thermostat to front manifold. I'm just running a chunk of heater hose right now.
Thanks

My friend "Betsy" has one of those rubbermade tubs that barely fits in the back of her 83 CJ and is half full of hoses and tubes of all sorts of shapes, sizes, rated for this and that, etc.. Stuff ain't that expencive, get some hose clamps and a couple feet of each size you "think" you'll need and go back to the parts house for what you find that you really need, keep the spare stuff, you'll find a use for it later.
