I know I've run across this on here, but cant find what I'm looking for. The only thing that I came across was about the front 4x4 lights blinking when Cold and the solution for them was to switch to synthetic.
Anyways, just like the title says. My front 4x4 lights are blinking. It started blinking yesterday. The strange thing is that I havent engaged it into 4wheel drive at all, it just started blinking. Tried messin with it a bunch of times, but no solution yet. Whats the deal?
A lil background info. Just had my tranny replaced about 10k ago. The output shaft leaks veeeery slowly, plus the drain plug to the tranny leaks veeeery slowly also. I'm thinking to add some more ATF in it, but when I checked my levels, (yes, the truck was running) It showed up good. But I might just add a lil more into it cause it is leaking, so it is losing something. Any other solutions?
Angelo

Wow, great article! Thank you!
I'm printing and putting it in my glove box . . . just in case. Best of luck with the fix, Agelo, and keep us posted!
Take care,

Vaccum leak from the little canister under the frontend or from the hose going to the front diff.

I have had the same problem with mine. it just starts blinking and never stop, one thing i noticed that I can engage 4H very easly. Anyways I got under the car and checked, everything was in order. so I got up to the to valves near the air box and hooked up the hose that comes from the canstir which has vac all the time and linked it to each one of them and tested the car until I found out that when you put it to the one comming from the blue spoted valve it stops blinking. But at this situation you can't engage 4H cause the front shaft is always dissengaged.
So the fix is to replace the valves
hope this helps, and of cours I wouln't be able to figure this out without that great HongKonger site

now the question is, how do I identify these things under there. I dont know what the vac hoses look like or where they go and the canister. All I know is there is 2 clips/wires from from the top of the diff, one of them is connected, the other isnt. Tried lookin around to see if I can locate where the other one goes, no luck yet. I'll have to get out there early enough so I dont have to rush. Wish me luck, Angelo

My problem is fixed... Man, easier than I thought! All I had to do was wash my truck!
I'm kiddin, but it really worked. I havent really gotten a chance to look at it by then. Then a couple days ago, I decided my truck needed a lil cleaning. I sprayed it as usual, sprayed underneath and drove it around to dry it off. As i was driving around, I noticed my lights werent blinking anymore. Whats the deal???
Was something dirty and I accidently hosed it clean and now it works? Should i go over something just to make sure I dont run into this problem again. Very strange

I went wheelin this weekend and the blinkin lights are back. What could it possibly be that would cause it to blink, then go off after I wash my truck, then come back on after I went wheeling?? Maybe its just a coniencedence that it went off after I washed my truck, or was it?
Does this tell anyone any symptoms or the cause of it. Thanks again guys for the info in advance..
