Well GUYS it was supposed to be a surprise but I need help before I post pictures..

Purchased a RH drive, SWB 3.0 Pajero. Auto. Sunroof, R/D lock. Air Suspension etc.

BUT

Moonroof was stuck shut due to summer heating. When i tried to open it *crack* internal spiral cog has busted teeth on the bottom now.

Mitsu dealer has no part numbers, all VINs pull up LWB sliding roofs. 4 hours wasted at the dealer today.

Can anyone help with a part number etc?

It is the moonroof with the Rotating cap in the cab , the roof ONLY raises 6 inches. IE Does not slide.
Currently the wheel spins either way with no lifting of the roof.

SO

If a UK or Asian member can give a part number for the internal cog..or a VIN number from USA/ Europe for a vehicle that has the rising moonroof maybe that will help.

Thanks!

Drew, get me a pic of the part you're referring to, and I'll see if a part number exists for it. But even with a part number, your dealer will look at you like you have nine heads. Trust me.

BTW, hows the lip that surrounds the glass holding up on yours? Mine is deteriorated and needs replacement, so I'm also looking for a North American equivalent so I can grab the rubber lip.

Hey Phil !

That rubber is shot on mine too.
I will get a pic of the part, i will take either the part ( hope that's the prob ) or the entire assembly if need be.

On th up side, the place on Van Island that is importing these trucks has said they are going to be purchasing parts vehicles for us. So maybe that will help. I can give u the number if you want.

Loving the new TOY haha

3.0 V6, Rear diff lock, air susp ( i think ) with 3 settings + 3 inch lift in the rear selectable.

Also working on trying to get the crank bolt covered under the Safety bulletin.

They can't understand why the VIN doesnt come up ( DUH it's a new BC VIN ) And it has gone to mitsu Canada.
The vehicle is a 91 ( not covered ) but the SB covers engines 01/91+ so we'll see

I cant help you with the sun roof.
Post pics of said vehicle.
Just buy the bolt, something like $3.
In cab selectable lift?

I just want to tell you both good luck, and we're all counting on you.

It's not a bolt, but a 3 inch cylindrical piece with screw like threads from top to bottom. Star shaped plastic teeth on the bottom ( which are now broken )

Yes, in cab selectable lift.

For a 3.0? Do you have a pic? I got updated crank bolts for mine, but I dont know about a star plastic thing.

D'OH, I was thinking crank bolt as in Crank shaft pulley bolt some 3.0s had a recall on.

You might want to check into that too.
