Welcome. Is this your first Toyota truck?

Yes, this is my first. But I've had buddy's with them, and of course I always thought they were nice. I test drove a few of the competitors, but this truck had all the goodies and is pretty friggen quick. The dealership I (we, me and my girl) went too, was very cool about having some fun on the test drive and we went offroad with it and came back doing 100mph. For me, that sold it.

Careful with the 100mph part of that.

I'd say be careful with wanting to do mods, they can get extreme <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/pfft.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/ignore.gif" alt="" />

There's only a handful of us new Tacoma owners here, but we're active!

Welcome to the forums.

Thanks All for the kind words. I will definetely be around. I already have a ton of thoughts on what to do next for convenience features since I do use the truck to commute to work and sometimes for work. I'm a painter and have to protect my seats and bed and access cab from becoming a palet of color, lol. Of course engine goodies are a must, and fairly easy to install from what I'm reading. I do have a question about exhaust systems and I'm looking for something a bit "meatier" sounding. I love the way Flowmaster sounds, and have had them on other trucks. Anybody use an aftermarket muffler/exhaust for a better sound? Thanks, Ryan.

I guess the main q. would be which engine is in there? Being new, there might not be a lot of goodies out just yet.
