Time to post this mod up. Credit goes to the ones who have gone before me. Thanks you guys!

I did my gas tank lift slightly different than the previous members. I culled some extra brackets from junkyard donors to help me with the final install.

Additionally, since I had everything apart, I also decided to reinforce the replacement skid plate with 11g steel plate.

Here are photos of the final result:

x2 on nice writeup.

What I couldn't believe though, was the pics of you working on that JUNKYARD trooper, the frame looked brand new. You guys not use salt on the roads?

No, really - beautiful. Killer write-up and awesome work. If you keep that level of detail going forward...

No salt here. They use lots of sand/gravel/rocks/small boulders and magnesium chloride. Anyone that doesnt have a chipped or cracked windshield either just got a new one, is a tourist, or hasnt lived here very long. The mag chloride doesnt effect steel very much but will tear up bare aluminum.

Nice work on the tank lift. Wish I could do that on my rodeo, tired of doing belly slides.

Looks good and kinda familiar

A gastank lift is a real good mod if you have a 3" BL. I rarely bang the gastank now. Maybe I'm not trying hard enough
