At 290,000 miles I have a little play in the throttle shaft inside the throttle body. I believe it is the cause of a slight surging at light engine load (1800 rpm, high vacuum condition). Does anyone know if the shaft bushings/seals can be replaced and if so, where I can order new ones? Toyota is very proud of a replacement throttle body.

You only got 290,000 miles out of the throttle shaft seals?? Whatta a hunk of junk!! LOL, gotta love Toyotas, almost 300K and the main complaint is a worn throttle shaft seal. Hate to say it, but you are probably stuck with either the dealership or a junk yard for that part.
