Need a Spot
I have bought an OBD II code reader for my Pajero(1997 V6 3.0 6G72), My ride is an import for supposedly for European use. I live in Manila, Philippines. After i plug the OBD under the dash, the reader can seem to link up with my car. It has the same pin socket and yet it can't link up with my ECU.

Does anyone has an idea what should i do to make it work?

The canOBDII 3110 reader is from the USA which i have imported to my country. Click on this link: http://www.canobd2.com/tool/3110.asp

please help.

thanks

Aldee

That OBDII code reader may not work on overseas spec vehicles. I'd been thinking about this for a few days now, and have come to the realization that OBDII is something that the US developed for our own market and the rest of the world may or may not be implementing it.

I'd check with the manufacturer first. They'd know better than me about how well their product will work in an overseas vehicle.

IIRC There is a USA OBD II, a Canukdian & a european system. They are not compatible with eachother.
Do a bit of research on OBD !! & you should find it.
