ok, so i need a picture of how the piston rings are suppose to be set up. i know which order they go in, i just don't know how the gaps are suppose to be set up. are they all 180 degrees from each other? i know on some cars they're 180, some are only 90 and some are only 45 degrees apart from eachother. if anyone could give me some info on those specs please post. oh, and the motor is a 95' 3.4l. i hope everyone gets what i'm trying to ask for. if you have torn apart motors before, you guys should know what i'm asking for. thanks in advance.

Dont have specs but ..... The location of the end gaps between the various ring is relatively unimportant as the will move around anyway. Spread them out evenly..The important part is the gap is big enough to avoid touching when fully heated up. You can find rings where the ends are beveled so that they overlap and end gap is not an isssue. Check out racing suppliers like Summitt. If you are to adjust end gap, a good file will do it. Do not use a grinder or other high speed device. You will heat the end up and possibly change metal temper. They are pretty hard alloy, so a good file and patience are needed. Also, make sure no burrs, sharp edges are left.
