What should I look at prior to purchasing a vehicle that has sat for that long? I'm not very familiar with the V6, but I know the rest of it quite well as I had a 1989 pickup with the 22RE. Would it be safe to try to turn the motor over or should I do something first? USA 4Crawler Web Wheeler Probably at a minimum pull the spark plugs and give each cylinder a squirt of oil. Shoot oil down into the cylinders, as mentioned above. You might want to try turning it over for a while (no plugs) until you get an indication of oil pressure.
