$125/$129 per tire at TireRack + shipping.

The 10.50 tire would probably fit the 8" rim better. I run them on 6" rims and they work very well in the snow I encounter out west. I have not run them in ice or slush, though. I have run the 33x9.50 MTs in slush and they worked very well, but they were not good on ice until I siped the tread.

Body Damage is Cool
I ran 33x10.50's on the stock 15x7 IFS aluminum rims and liked them a lot. The only downside with this size is that only BFG and perhaps Dunlop makes them. Not that it's a bad thing really, I loved my BFG T/A KO's and they're already siped. FWIW, I also ran them with and without ball joint spacers with no problems whatsoever. I also managed to get them for a really good price from 4wheelparts during one of those "employee price + free shipping" events.

I did take the initiative to have an adhesive put on the tire before it was mounted to the rim. Be careful with that crap though- I still have it along the side of my truck a year later.

This is coming from someone who would rather fit the widest tire on the smallest rim possible. I'm currently running 35x12.50's on a 15x8 in order to air down without worrying about losing a bead. Don't be fooled though- running a really wide tire on a narrower rim will cause the tire to "sway" more when cornering on roads at normal speeds....

Having worked at a tire store for way too long I could go on and on about the pros and cons, but as long as you stay within the "reccommended" limits of the tire and wheel you'll be just fine.

Paint the stock wheels black or grey and I don't think anyone would notice the difference.

Kinda OT since it doesn't sound like you plan to go this route, but I don't think the wheels look too bad (my tires are crap, though). IMO black is better than gray. Tried both.

-What?s this adhesive for?

Beside, i still can?t make up my mind...9.5" or 10.5". It?s only 1" difference. Pro & Con?

Glues tire to rim, less likely to slip and/lose bead.

Not a lot between those two sizes.

Narrow will have higher contact pressure, less likely to hydroplane, better in slush.

Wider will air down better, a little more floatation, wider contact patch and more stable on the highway.

On my 6" rims, I find the 10.50s air down way better than the 9.50s do. Below about 10 psi, the 9.50s buckle up in the middle and sort of squirm on hard surfaces. On one snow run I did, I got to a place where the snow had melted off an uphill paved section and I tried to back up and turn around there. Was at about 6-7 psi on the 9.50s and I could harly back up that slight slope of pavement. The tires would not bite at all (they worked great in the deep snow like that, though). The 10.50s work better aired way down and only start to buckle down around 2-3 psi on the same rims.

I've not run the 9.50 ATs, but on the MTs, I think the tread life on the 10.50 is more than on the 9.50.

I've got the 33x9.50 AT/KO on stock rims. Got them mounted & balanced at Americas Tire Store (Discount Tire some places) for $500 even, but that was after a $50 rebate. They have been great in most conditions except high speed handling where my old 10.50's seemed more stable and heavy mud where they clog up more than a MT.

Btw, I rarely need to air down to 10psi for the hard stuff that i do anyway. I went to 15-20psi when i really needed to. Therefore I am not worry with the tire losing the bead for now.

I saw these studded commercial ta today. are they any good?

i think i'm going 33x9.5r15 at/ko. I'm making the order next week.($630cad for 9.5, $670cad for 10.5 tax/install included.)

My pickup setup should look similar to the 1st pic below when my flatdeck and pop-top camper will finish this winter . Any final objection for my tire size?

Remember, I won't be rock crawling/mudding with these. I'm going to do a big hwy trip with these tires. From Quebec to BC(winter), south to mexico(summer), then hopefully up to alaska in the Apr/May...then back south. I just want to choose the size that give me best mpg & wear. Oh ya, it goes on 15x8x3.75bs rims.

9.5 or 10.5, last call!

If you're putting on a camper top i would go for the wider tires to spread the weight better!
if you're going for winter tires only, 9.5's....
