does anyone know where I can buy some 2 inch inside flanges for my exhaust. I looked on summit and had no luck.

What kind of flanges are you looking for and where are you thinking about putting them?

3-bolt header flanges?
2-bolt exhaust flanges?

Ball and socket or the flared type flanges?
There are others out there that use a donut gasket?

I need to put some flanges on the pipe type headers I got off of a Astro van. I got the headers but the other flanges on the exhaust pipes were already gone. I thought I would just replace both of them.

If I were to use the flanges with the gaskets for that location would that be ok. I know that I could not keep a donut style gaskets on the 2.8 exhaust that was in my trooper.

One more thing would the two bolt flange work or should I get the three bolt. The headers have the three bolt on them now but the two bolt seems like it would take up alittle less space

If you have an oxygen sensor whatever you do make sure the system is air tight. After the sensor down the line I didn't even use gaskets and all my welds on my system have pinhole leaks, but it doesn't matter, downstream of the sensor. My manifolds had cone shaped stamped steel donuts and used a flared end on the pipe side that was clamped on with a 2 hole flange. I just copied the stock setup by getting 2 pieces of pipe flared at a nearby custom exhaust place, then cut off the flared end to use on my setup. The cone gasket is nice makes a great seal but without it I would recommend the three hole flange or a ball and cup socket to make it solid and leakproof.

Unless you are going to go back to the OEM style, run far far away from 3-bolt collector flanges. They NEVER stay sealed. I was replacing gaskets once per trip for a while. It got very annoying running a trail with a header leak, not to mention the trip home.

That said, go with the ball and cup style. It is great. Allows for some misalignment, a little bit of movement and it seals great without any gaskets or donuts.

I went to a local muffler shop and asked the guy if he could sell me a couple when I was doing exhaust work for a buddy. He offered 2" 2 bolt flanges for $5 a pop. J.C. Whitney had them for under a buck.

I know he's gotta make money I just wish it wasn't on me <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/pfft.gif" alt="" />

I didn't bother with the "paper" flange gaskets, I used high-temp gasket maker and it worked great. 2 years and holding.

Might have to try that with my jc whintey flanges (couldn't find gaskets to go with them).
