Body Damage is Cool
Hi guys, I'm running 33's on my stock 15x7's. I also have a slight torsion crank.

I've started to notice that when I'm turning full lock (e.g. maneuvering) from a stop, when I move the vehicle, there is a sort of a sound (more like a bang/thud) that I hear as the wheels start to roll. Could it be due to the crank? Will going back to standard height solve the problem?

Another thing, is there any way to limit the turning angle of the tires? There is a slight rubbing with the sway bar at full lock.

Thanks

Could it be the steering stop? And when you take off, the front lifts a little causing the bolt to scrape the metal stop part?

I just want to tell you both good luck, and we're all counting on you.

Could it be the CV's?

Where is this steering stop? I usually hear the sound during slow speed, full lock, parking lot maneuvers.

My first guess would be CV's because when you're turned close to full lock is when they're stressed the most.

The steering stops are an adjustable bolt mounted to the frame in front of the pivot for either the steering box or the idler arm. Either the pitman arm or the idler arm bumps up against them to limit travel. Adjust these out to stop the rubbing.

Will de-cranking the t-bars work?

I don't really plan on spending $$$ on this particular rig anymore. I'm thinking of moving on (possibly GEN II.5) but not within the next 6 months or so, so I still want to try and rectify this.

Do you have manual hubs?
