Anyone in the US happen to know where I can buy replacement rubber line for my 1989 fuel injected trooper (2.6L 4cyl)? Would normal fuel line work for this? Any input would be greatly appreciated as I'm currently replacing the original hoses which have started to crack.

Thanks in advance,
- Jim

Any good auto parts store ought to have it. Just make sure it says that it's rated for fuel injection on the hose itself. Otherwise, don't buy it.

That fuel line is a metric size too... I sorta recall that mine was 10mm , 3/8 worked, but was a bit tight. I am keeping my eye on it for signs of splitting, eight months later, still looks OK, but I would feel more comfortable if it was the correct size. If I wasn't so lazy, I would have hunted down the 10mm stuff and "done it right".

I am not 100% sure on the size, so double check it before you buy the hose!

Well I talked with Jerry Lemond and he mentioned that the stock fuel line has an ID of 8mm. I looked around but no-one seems to carry it so I stopped at the auto parts store and picked up a line of 5/16" which he said should work. Vacuum lines are next after this. I've got diagrams, but I'm not sure on acronyms for various parts so I'll be on here asking more questions smile. Thanks for your help!

Glad you checked... I wasn't sure.

Should work fine, just a few thousandths smaller.
