I have a problem with a rough and low idle when my Sporty is in gear. It is a little rough when it isn't but high enuf, but it seems like it has a miss. Also, when the car is cold it lacks power off the line but is okay once it gets going. When warmed up the power problem goes away. I cleaned all the connectors and the IAC and reattached them. Coils, plugs and wires replaced. No CEL.
BTW, I recently did the timing belt and water pump. The reason all this work was done was because my Sporty overheated badly. I changed the radiator and the heater core. Thanks to all on this forum for all the tips on how to do all the work I did.

Check and clean the connectors on the TPS, IAC, MAF, and air intake Temp sensor.

In 1996 and newer it should be located in the top of the air-box.

In 1996 and newer it should be located in the top of the air-box. FYI 1996 does NOT have a Air Intake Temp Sensor...at least the one I own and the one my brother has. Everet <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/patriot.gif" alt="" />

Ok my bad. Clean the other connectors and if necessary remove and clean the IAC, that cures a lot of idle, stalling, and erratic engine problems.
