Getting the Wheeling Fever
Anyone know how to get a 4L30E transmission out of limp mode? It shifts fine manually but not otherwise. This all started after a new engine install...There was no previous problem with it before...Also where does one read the transmission control module for trouble codes? I read somewhere that its the green plug near the ECM plug..Is that true? I have a '95 Trooper w/a 3.2 SOHC...TIA...John

Getting the Wheeling Fever
Heres whats going on...I had my motor replaced, and since then my tranny won't shift, without me doing it manually...I lost all the tranny idiot lights, the indicator is stuck in 3rd,no matter what actual gear I'm in..I can shift thru the gears manually, but no auto down or upshifts.. Also the power/winter buttons won't work,or even light up..Can this be the TCM? A bad ground? I checked the fuses and none appear blown...Help!!!! Any advice would be greatly appreciated....

UPDATE: I fixed the problem...After checking all the connections on the tranny,I discovered that the "mechanic" forgot to hook up the ground from the harness to the block...problem solved!
