Body Damage is Cool
So the past few days there has been a burst of carb questions.. This encouraged me to write a carb faq which I have been meaning to do for months now. So, the past three calculus classes at college were spent writing this:

www.bluebassdesign.com/boonin/carb_faq/

Its not 100% done, but just about. When I go home for thanksgiving I'm gonna get a ton of pictures for the topics. For now, its pretty much all the text though.

So ya, thats just about all you need to know bout how the thing works.. I'll probably add some more stuff as I think of it. Definently let me know if you think I should change anything or if I left something out.

I'd like to thank my piece of crap 1st carb for teaching me most of this when I was trying to get it to work while being late for school/work on numerous occasions And of course Josh, ArbitraryNotion, gets a thank you as well as he tought me all the basics a couple of years ago over AIM.

Enjoy, hope it helps a bunch of you out

Awesome, I'm sure there are a lot of people that will get a lot of use out of this.

After giving it a quick scan, it may have helped me already (I think my choke coil needs to be rotated a bit... my engine never quite has full power when it's really cold out).

Thanks!

Thank you much for this. It will help my sister understand the carb functions and relieve me of some of the maintenance procedures

Thanks guys. I'm glad its helping a few of you out already.

I just re-read it all for the first time... fixed a couple of typos and clarified some stuff. I think its pretty good now. I'll probably think of more stuff to add tomorrow of course. It won't be completely done until all the pictures are up at thanksgiving anyway.

Do you mean like black and white with no pics? It should be mostly printer friendly right now.. but it won't be hard to do if you clarify what you were thinking. Keep the suggestions coming please - especially if you read something that didn't make sense and needs to be reworded.

Probably choke, but also take a look at the AAP section.

And those of you thinking about trying the rebuild... as long as you know how to use a screwdriver and are somewhat mechanically inclined.. go for it! Post up if you have any questions during the process of course.

Thanks!
