Getting the Wheeling Fever
i have a gen2 a/t 12v 3.0 v6. it seems that the rear diff, or maybe just the rear lsd is broken. i hear a knocking (tok tok) sound from the rear when im driving around. now i can get an extra rear diff from a 4d56t, my quesation is can i just swap the whole rear diff or are the innards (specifically the lsd) swappable? thanks

im thinking that the gearing might be off for the two. thanks

Regarding the knocking sound, have you looked at the condition of your rear U-joint? It's possible it might be that, which would make it a much easier problem to resolve.
