Getting the Wheeling Fever
I saw a montero in the junkyard with a hitch like this
[Linked Image]
Is that a standard bolt pattern on the back of the Montero that accepts a hitch like this?

I had one of those, but I don't think the raider/monty 4hole plate is mounted to a stout enough tube to handle towing anything that justifies that GI/ball combo. They also make a GI to fit a 2" receiver also in cast iron, also available with a ball combo. See Northern Handyman/Tools/Hydraulic, whichever one they call themselves now.

I have mine because it's damn nice for looping a tow strap through. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

That, and the range of motion that the pintle provides over the normal ball. If you ever want to do the offroad trailer thing, I think this is a must...

I have that hitch and it is awesome! Ive towed my trailor around no problems. I do think the hitch can handle much more then my Monty.
