Getting the Wheeling Fever
I just got some new aluminum wheels from a 98 trooper for my 88 trooper II, and now I need tires. I am thinking about the Dunlop Radial Rover A/Ts, but I need to know how big I can get. I was thinking some 245/70-16's which are about 30's. Is it ok to go that big without rub and or other problems such as gearing?

31x10.50 will fit with no problems with rubbing. Gearing won't really be affected that much either. I don't know what that works out in metric though ... too late for me to be doing math. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/pfft.gif" alt="" />

245/70 is closer to 29.5" (though it will vary some by manufacturer), and FWIW is the stock tire size for 92+ Troopers. It should fit with no problems. Not sure about gearing, depends what you started with stock.

the tire size you are wanting should work fine if it is 31 or less
