My front driveshaft on the new truck doesn't seem to have a block off plate to stop the grease from coming out of the end of the slip joint. What is actually supposed to be there? Is it a welded in piece, or some type of pressed in plug? Any suggestions short of getting a new driveshaft, or at least the front slip joint part? See pic for where it is coming out. I can stick my finger right up inside the driveshaft, there's nothing there to stop the grease. Thanks in advance.

Often a steel plug in there with a small hole. Maybe you could find a rubber stopper or a freeze plug of about the right size and shove it in there. Just make sure there is a small vent hole to let air and excess grease out.
