Body Damage is Cool
I need to know the size of the flywheel bolts for a 22R.....an '84 22R to be exact. The originals were lost courtesy of my re-builder and now I'm searchin' for replacements. I've tried M12 x 1.25, but those are too big to even fit through the holes in the flywheel itself! Not to mention the crank. I have some extra M10 x 1.25's and those seem to catch the thread but they are loose, am I missing something here? I need to get the 'yota back on the road, shes been under the knife for much much too long...

Many thanks!!

You need to go to a dealer and buy the right bolts, flywheel bolts are not just any run of the mill bolt. NAPA may also be able to source them for you.

They are oddballs compared all other bolts on the vehicle and engine. 11mm X 1.25 about 30mm long with a captive washer. Don't know anyplace but Toyota to get them.
