OK so i posted a little while ago about my truck surging under light throttle or constant throttle. It will actually do a little bucking, but when a punch it it goes away. So people told me to adjust my tps. So here is the question a have the feeler guage and the ohm meter. What should the ohms be at idle? I put the feeler gauge in there but i have a little plunger type object that is for my throttle stop, it gives way so what i really want to know how can i test my tps without using the feeler guage. How can i measure this accuratly? Happy t day!!!

sounds like you have the feeler gauge between the dashpot that allows the throttle to slowly stop.you want the feeler gauge between the throttle and stop screw on the throttle body.it's hard to see.once you have it in place, set your multi-meter to ohmns.loosen the screws on the tps.touch the (+)&(-)leads of the meter to the correct prongs on the tps.now rotate the tps until the needle on the meter jumps to the other side.then move the tps in opposite direction until the needle flucuates.tighten the tps down.on digital meters i think it zero's out when the tps is in the correct spot.not 100% sure on the digi meter.maybe someone else will jump in.hope this helps.
