Getting the Wheeling Fever
just wanted to post this to make myself a lil happier
soo i have an 84 pickup 22r 5 speed, junk frame... and im about to get an 86 pickup 22r 5speed 2wd with hanger welder on. just want some other peoples thoughts.. i think this will be fairly smooth. i don't no what body i plan on using but do you guys think most of the parts will bolt right up??
i am planing on new leaf springs, crossover steering, and i have the 4wd cross member.

86 on top, which is 200 bucks, and the 84 on the bottom that i own already for 500.....86 dosent come with axles

As long as the x-member was welded on properly on the '86, everything should bolt right up. The only item that wont bolt up will be the t-case x-member, you will have to fab up brackets and weld/bolt them to the frame.

Cab swaps aren't that difficult, but it would be easier to keep the '86 cab as long as it is in good shape.
