I just replaced the battery on my truck a couple few weeks ago and it has been doing well. Now suddenly sometimes it just clicks when I try to start and then if I wait a couple minutes after that it starts right up? (Sometimes it works fine though) Whats the deal? Also there are squealing belts on startup if that has anything to do with it. My buddy told me to rev the engine a bit and put it up in rpms after I start it up and then the squealing goes away (which it does). Not sure quite what is going on, any ideas?

You've got two issues.
The 'click click' is the classic starter contact sympton, common with Toyota / nippon denso starters. The battery replacement is likely merely coincidental, however recheck the connections to make sure they are tight & clean.
See Roger Browns site for complete starter troubleshooting:

On the belt squeal, typically the belt is slipping until it warms up. Likely one or more are slightly loose, and can also be giving you advance notice that one of the items associated to the belt(s) in question has gained resistance, and may need replacement soon. Tighten one at a time to determine which, and go from there.

Another thing is that I get a really high idle off the bat when started. I know that it idles higher until it is warmed up but I am talking 2000rpms for about 5-10 seconds. It is about 67 degrees out, I don't think that warrants a cold start up. Any ideas on that one?

EDIT: This only happens on occasion. Recently about 1 out of every 5 starts.

Take yer' foot off the long skinny one when ya start it.

J/K. mine does it too, but seems only in the colder months.

I assume you have an automatic? I've never heard of a manual doing this. Even back in my S10/lazer days, the automatics would sound like they had a flex fan sometimes at startup.

Well strange thing is that it is a manual. It only revs it up for a bit and then settles back down. Sounded weird but maybe it will be a good Toyota and fix itself.
