Getting the Wheeling Fever
Advice required please!

Am fitting some aftermarket guages (water temp, oil pressure and boost) to my '94 2800 4M40. Have connected the boost and water temp, but can't find anywhere to "tee" into the oil system to fit the oil sender unit.

Can anyone tell me where would be the best place to fit this (no rude suggestions please!!)?

Cheers from NZ and Merry Christmas to all!!

A quote from another reply that I made. Mine's a 3.5 gas-hog, but I don't think your diesel would be too different as far as the fittings go.

For the gauge, I purchased it from Summit. It's part # ATM-2634 . I had to get a metric adapter ATM-2269 and a 1/8npt t-fitting. I also bought an low oil pressure kill switch from Summit part# SUM-G1438 . I'm using this switch to activate the idiot light ONLY. It operates at 7psi vs the factory 5psi AND it has a 1/8npt fitting on it, which made it easy to thread into the above t-fitting.

Sorry, what I was after is where on the engine can I best mount the sender unit. I can find an oil feed from the back of the block to the turbo, but that's too hard to get to.

Body Damage is Cool
just steal the hole in the block where the factory sending unit gets its signal...if you have a gauge you don't need an idiot light.
