If so, maybe yours isn't locking up at highway speeds leading to overheating (lots of slipping at higher revs)? Again, I'm not sure if the autos have that but it might be a possibility. Yes...the auto trans have a lockup torque converter.

Who and how was the ATF replaced? Did you ever install an aux cooler? When you had the ATF flushed before, what technique was used to flush it?
