I found a 6-foot plow setup complete, that came off of a CJ5 jeep. I thought it was a Meyer, at least the pump is. The frame rails seem to be the same width on the Raider as a CJ5 and there are plenty of weld nuts to attach it to. I had to modify (shorten and re-weld) the push frame and weld 2 "tabs" onto the tubular cross member. I believe you could use u-bolts and a plate if you can't weld to the vehicle. If you're by yourself, I'd recommend one of the newer plow hookups that self-align and "click" on and off. Maybe you could have someone fab adapters. Also, get power angle (all the new stuff is anyway.) I'm working on mine soon. I'm going to take pictures.

Need a Spot
Greetings, folks!

I really appreciate your inputs on the snowplow. I will have to look around for something used because the cost of a Meyer is just way too high for me. I want (i.e. ôcan affordö) as simple a plow as possible, i.e. a bolt-on plow blade and nothing more.

Is there anything that you need that we could help you with?

Well, a winning lottery ticket would be great! Then I wouldnÆt be ôon vacationö anymore. (Honestly, it hasnÆt been much of a vacation . . . But thanks for asking; IÆll share the winnings!!)

X-)

A (slightly) unrelated question:

It was noted [color:"blue"]HERE: ôThe crank bolt on ALL Mitsubishi 3.0L V6 engines is a recall item.ö

I have not found any verification of any such ôrecall item,ö which I understand to be something that Mitsubishi/Dodge will pay to have done. I never got any such notification, nor can I find any online, and I couldnÆt find any definitive answers in the 4x4wire archives, just a lot of warnings. [color:"blue"]HERE is a page listing recalls and it is not mentioned.

Any advice would be appreciated! (ÆBecca has 98K miles on her.)

Blessings and THANK YOU!

IIRC Mitsubishi didn't recall the crank bolts on the 1989 models. They issued the recall for a later year. Even though they used the identical crank bolt in 1989. So, even though Mitsubishi never issued a formal recall for the 1989 crank bolts, it's best to replace them with the newer style.

I have new spares. If you'll PM an address where you can receive it, I'll mail it to you at no cost...

Fasteddy's advice is occasionally sound...
