Body Damage is Cool
My 91 had a ghetto set up wiring harness that went through the bumper and had to be cut to get it off. i have been looking for a plug and play wiring harness but have not been lucky. does anyone know of a factory option or something that I do not have to splice one in. i have done it but do not like to do that if I do not have to. Thanks

I bought a wiring harness on ebay last year from planetautoparts but it was for a 91-98. The year is probably based on pajero model years versus Montero model years and 91 was the first year for the Gen II Montero. The Grasscat may be able to tell you if it works for a gen I. IIRC, he bought one from the same seller for the Gen I.

I made one out of Montero parts. My setup ruins the wiring harness and lamp backings because I rob the connectors; but when you have so many Monteros laying around...

I answered his PM.

I modified a Gen 2 wiring harness to fit the Gen 1 (the run away that Justice has) by changing the connectors.

Russell may have what you need.

My experience with trailer harnesses and monties is that you have to have a conversion box, because of the way our trucks do not combine some light functions, otherwise the 4wire trailer harness won't work right. The last time I wired one up, I used this.
