I made my own harness without one. The convertor in the picture above is a draw...4 wires in and 4 wires out. The Montero Gen I uses separate wires for the L (stop), R (stop) and running lights. If you are going to wire up for a 4-wire flat connector, this is already a simple proposition.

A convertor is only useful on a vehicle equipped with L, R separate from the brake...5 circuits in and 4 out.
