I'm thinking the crank is meant to kinda stick out where the flexplate bolts up to, if i remember right. And I think toast is right looks like your missing the big shim from our flext plate.

I know of a machine shop in east mesa if you wanna take the drive. Its on Val Vista and main, called Johnny Rackleys. Nice guy and does good work as far as I can see.
