one thing that will hold me up a bit is, the flywheel off the starion does not match our torque converter. 4 bolts on the starion, 6 on the raider. Our original flywheel was unrepairable. So does any one know, can I just have new holes drilled in the starion flywheel to match our torque converter. I do understand that they would need to be precise in there location. thanks!

The Torque converter pilots on the the crankshaft. That said the location of the holes in the flexplate is not as critical since the dont center the converter. They do have to line up so you can get the bolts in and be accurate located so that they load up on the converter bolts evenly when transmitting torque.
Also the term for the part that I would use is flexplate.

on our starion motor the existing pickup seems to come of the pump internaly. there is a place to put on the Raider pickup but what to do with the existing pickup and hole it would leave? I have the pan and pickup from our raider but I was expecting that the pickup was originating in the same location but that is not the case.
