you need a steel rod the diameter of the inside diam. of the bushing. Pack the bushing cavity with grease, and drive the rod into the grease. The hydraulic pressure will force the bushing out. Or a cold chisel and a hammer...

got in the motor in smoothly enough. I still need to bolt up the torque converter, but will do that next week.

And now I of course have another question. I was going to bolt up the power steering pump, but it seems to hit up against the oil sending unit.

You would be best to convert the PS pump to a remote reservoir.

and convert the worthless stock OPG to a mech gauge, which will eliminate the fatso sender. and you can move the OPG sender to the oil cooler adapter - there's a plug there same size hole, and move the plug to the original position.

so I had a chance to look things over a little. In the last picture there is a plug where the sending unit is on the raider motor. I was thinking about taking that out, putting the sending unit in there and plugging the starion sending unit spot.

this may be what you are talking about?

anyway, won't have much time next week due to life but will get on it when I can.

Thanks for the help.

Yes. I plead senior moment. The reservoir for the ps pump will hit the sender if the sender is at the cooler adapter, so you move it to the plugged location as you describe. Both are in the full pressure path from the pump in the main gallery...
