there is an access panel under the rear seet, I would open it up first and see if you can fix it from there. If you have to drop the tank unplug all the lines from there, remove the screws at the filler neck and remove the bolts for the skid plate and the tank should drop out. If it has very much gas in it put a floor jack under it bafore you lower it.
