It's 2" box 1/8" wall. this was the first project I did with my home center special stick welder. If I had to do it again I would cut the end of the frame rails so I could extend the lower portion of the bumper another 3" toward the outside. Also after I had it mounted I realized that it wasn't far enough to the rear so that could step on it when the rear door was closed so I added another 1" in depth with a piece of 1x2 channel. Only downside I see is the 1/8" wall. IMHO, it's a little on the thin side if it's going to be used to hi-lift on... Or have you done that already and it's held up? I have used the hi-lift a number of times without a problem. I chose 1/8" because of the weight. picking up the thing now I just couldn't imagine it weighing twice as much. I could have replaced it but there were a number of other things wrong so I decided to get the '96 with the 3.5. I'll probably part out the '95.
