David, did Mitsu produce a 1-ton? I've seen the FE and FG-series trucks that are in the 12K to 15K pound GVW classes.

Hi Mr Rxinhed....

No your way off ..LOL... Think ..The long bed small trucks they "called" 1 ton trucks ... Just a every day Mitsu/D50 truck with beefed up underside ...Got close to it today but could not get into the truck ... Says "Mity Max 1 ton" on the back ...Nothing that says diesel on it on the out side ..

I think its a transplanted diesel in a gas truck ... ... Did they do a diesel in the fake 1Ton Gen2 Mitsu 2wd truck ...?

Not sure what I would do with it any ways ...LOL...

Ahh, like the Toyota metric ton...understanding follows. For the Toyota there was an extra leaf in the rear spring packs.

This would have to be an import or a diesel conversion, diesels were only offered in the first generation trucks from 83-85 in the states. If I were you I would look to see how well the conversion was done. Is there a push button for the glow plugs or are they running off the OEM computer? Did they spend the extra money to get the right Speedo and Tach cluster? Did they install a hyraulic clutch or is the truck have a cable clutch? Did they carefully remove and reuse the diesel harness or did they hack it all to pieces. There are lots of things to look at.
