The big mystery, to me, though, was the front driver's side quarter window. Mine doesn't have a handle anymore, so it can't be latched. It looked like it was going to be pretty simple to just take the whole piece of glass with the latch attached to it, but I couldn't figure out how to get the stupid thing out of the door. What's the deal with those things?

Painus in the anus, is all I can say. It's a long frickin piece that goes all the way down inside the door. It incorporates the forward channel for the main window into itself. All the moulding has to come out, vent visor if so equipped, inside door panel, window regulator, up/down window glass, and maybe more. It's been awhile since I've replaced mine. I got the piece from Russell, but you should be able to get it from the yard rig you found. If it were me, I'd take everything that I took off with me in case you break something on yours doing the job...

If you just need the latch, there's a little roll pin that you drive out and the whole latch comes off in several pieces. I had to replace the glass channel because some idjit that was washing it locked the keys in it. Bent the latch arm while getting it open. Could've just came and asked for my extra key... <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif" alt="" />
