So if my Weber only has one fuel inlet, which one of the two fuel outlet hoses from the stock fuel pump gets connected, and what am I supposed to do with the other one?

And to add more confusion, there are actually three fuel-related hoses on the stock Mikuni. Two come off the stock fuel pump, and connect on the same side of the Mikuni (the side that faces forward), with one having a higher connection point than the other. And there's one on the side opposite the driver's side inner fenderwell, that looks to be a fuel return hose that goes from the carb base down towards the fuel filter, and back to the gas tank?

Ok this is were I remember some stuff. I diched my Machanical fuel pump and went when an electric universal unit but in any case by the fram fuel filter with the return line built in. That way you get enough pressure like 4 to 5 psi to supply the weber the rest goes back to the tank I will look for the part#. Mine worked like a charm <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cyclops.gif" alt="" />

On the first page of the instructions, at the bottom, it's got this:

"1. It is recommended to obtain a new fuel filter and install it when installing this kit.
2. Many late model vehicles use a high-pressure fuel system. The Weber only requires 3 lbs maximum. For agressive driving, off road use and stable fuel and float control, Redline recommends a fuel pressure regulator adjusted to 2 lbs and a plastic float height of 18mm from gasket to top of float, do not depress the ball & spring in the needle valve. Then, adjust the float drop to 1.5mm needle travel."

So it would seem that at 3 psi max, the stock mechanical fuel pump should be more than up to keeping the Weber fueled?

Yeah this filter I mentioned will only supply the carb for what it needs, the rest will flow back to the tank.

I dug through the can of old parts and have a part # for that filter its not a fram but a WIX 33040.

This is what it looks like.

I noticed the directional arrow on the fuel filter body, so that's where the fuel coming from the gas tank would enter. But what's the deal with the two outlets? One must go directly to the carb, so where's the other one go?

Ok the Two in the middle of the filter are the inlet and outlet to the carb, The smaller one is the return line to the tank.
Make sence?

That's why I've stayed out of the rest of this post (until now). My sentiments also.

Dude (sorry for that), just get under the hood and do it. Take all that other Mikuni stuff completely out and it's pretty simple under there.

The fuel pump has one inlet and two outlets. One outlet (regulated pressure) goes to the float bowl. The second outlet (regulator bypass) goes to the accel pump well, and then to the tank fuel return line. For the Weber, the regulated pressure may need to go to a second lower pressure set regulator, then to the weber float bowl. The other outlet is plumbed to the fuel return line.

"Fuel pump has one inlet and two outlets" - got it.

"One outlet goes to the float bowl" - got it, I hooked up the fuel hose that looked like it went to the Mikuni fuel bowl to the only fuel inlet fitting on the Weber.

"The second outlet (regulator bypass) goes to the accel pump well, and then to the tank fuel return line" - well, since there isn't an "accel pump well" fitting on this Weber, and you say it goes to the fuel tank return line, and there is that third hose from the Mikuni that goes back to the tank, then by default these two hoses should be connected, or replaced with one long hose that goes from that second outlet on the fuel pump to the fuel tank return line.

That's what I'm reading from your post, so if it's wrong, let me know. I may be a little slow on the uptake sometimes, but I'll eventually get it...
