Hi socal1200r, thanks for the post, I'm having the exact same issue with my new 38/38 Weber. I'm still working on the Carburetor since my Monty lost it's transmission in IL on the way to Virginia. On the way to IL I was just slapping the peddle to bring it down. Thanks again and will let you know how it works.
