I quit 18 months ago and let me tell you the habit was a 1000 times harder than the nicotine.

You need to have a mindset change towards the habit and preferably change it with something else.

I stopped when I moved home so it made it a little bit easier to not associate a location with the habit.

If the electric thingy isn't there you will grab for the real thing.

rather try to replace the habit with drinking water, chocolates, mints or whatever.
