I quit 18 months ago and let me tell you the habit was a 1000 times harder than the nicotine.

You need to have a mindset change towards the habit and preferably change it with something else.

I stopped when I moved home so it made it a little bit easier to not associate a location with the habit.

If the electric thingy isn't there you will grab for the real thing.

rather try to replace the habit with drinking water, chocolates, mints or whatever.

Good luck. It is tough.

Good advice. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

Or you could just man-up and realize it is only substance and you are stronger than any inanimate objects. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/nana.gif" alt="" />

+1

Easiest way to quit I found is to stop buying the stuff.

Next step, I changed EVERY habit i had...even down to what room I got dressed in, how I left for work, EVERYTHING.

Been free of the stuff for almost 5 years now.

Like Chris said, its just a damn plant.

Seriously...stop buying it...the rest is easy. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />
