OK, scored a great deal on some 33x12.5 BFG mud terrains w/ about 50% tread on some chevy steel rally's, only 175! The only problem is I already rsvp'd to a friends bday party on Aug. 7th (before I saw the post for this trip of course)...hmm hot chicks on a party bus in pin up attire or 4 days of epic wheeling..

John, there are a few different little campgrounds on the edge of Courtright reservoir. I plan on setting up camp in one of those, I'll figure out the name of the campground nearest to the trail head and the GPS coordinates and post them up here. I should be leaving here early Weds morning, so probably best to meet up at the campsite.

John, I planned to meet you at Voyager rock campground, but the sierra national forest says its closed. Not sure if that is due to the fire. From what I've seen on the news, it looks like this fire in the area is pretty bad. I'll call the ranger station in the morning and see what the deal is. If closed, we might might have to go with a back-up plan.

Edit:

The fire is in the Sequoia National forest not the Sierra National forest, so we're probably still good to go, but should keep an eye on things. Marmot rock Camp ground is open, so we'll go with that for now unless voyager opens back up.

OK looks like the FS site is a bit behind, Fresno 4 wheelers say its good to go, we'll meet up at Voyager rock camp ground at N37613.2/W1185740.9

Marmot Rock will be the backup site.

Completed my front locker install today, and re-installed my CB antenna. Put the roof rack back on. Not sure if the CB works, I tried hailing some truckers but no dice the cable might be messed up if I have time I'll swap it out. I'll bring the FRS radios if I can find those Just in case. Its going to be interesting packing the 3 of us into the SWB..the dog will have to stay home. I'm shooting to get out of here late weds morning. I'll try to pick up a campfire permit before heading into camp so we'll be legal with the campfire.

OK, changed oil& filter, recharged the AC, and Fixed the CB today after work. Man this trip has forced me to get a lot of things done that I've been neglecting.

I'll be on CB channel 4 and FRS channel 4.

If anyone is thinking they might show up last minute, PM me for phone number. We'll be departing Voyager rock, and starting the Dusy at I'd say at maybe 9 AM or so Thursday.
