Mitsubishi Owners Day is coming to North Texas Show and Shine (I would really like to see someone with a Gen3 OME 2" lift because I'm considering one for my 2004), food, music, games for the kids, sneak peak at the yet to be released iMiev and Outlander Sport http://donherring.info/MOD/MOD.html

Kudos & thanks for making us aware of the date!

[rant]I honestly don't believe Mitsubishi Corporate is even aware of their 4x4 owners in the US.

We are rarely if ever notified about the MOD events. If I didn't have my own personal contact at Cypress (not from their MOD staff), we would've never heard about the Cypress MOD events in the past. In fact he was laid off last year and of course the marketing team didn't notify anyone here of last weekend's MOD event.

Great Job Mitsu. [/rant]

Seriously, I appreciate you letting us know of this event. If you can pass my comments on to them (and I'd be happy to give my full name and list of mitsu vehicles if they cared to learn it) that would be greatly appreciated.

Saturday's the day! It sure would be great to see some other Montero Owners! Even though there will be no 4x4 trails, there will be music, activities for the kids, food, cars (including the iMIev and the 2011 Outlander Sport)

This is just a dealership event not a mitsu corporate thing by the looks of it, don't feel too bad Ray.

(Isuzu said screw the US market all together - would have been much different with their newer diesels here too)

Welcome to the Wire Don. Texas is too far for me. Do these ever reach the Seattle area?

For clarification MOD started at MMNA headquarters in Cypress CA. When the factory decided to expand it this year they originally planned to go to Normal IL and NJ. We wanted to bring to North Texas and made plans to do so. This quickly got the factory's support. We are an official event on the factories website http://www.whatareyouinto.net/ The iMIev and Outlander Sport are being brought by the factory as dealers do not have access to these cars yet and the factory has hired the same firm (Legacy Marketing) to do this event, that they had hired for MOD in Cypress. So it is an official MOD but it took our input to bring it North Texas.

On a separate note as a Montero enthusiast/owner and someone who enjoys taking every 4x4 trail I can find, I promise to pass on the earlier rant and to continue to work to get either the Montero or the Montero Sport back to the US (I don't think we can expect both, but the new SPort is very nice)

I appreciate you listening to my rant. I agree with you though and don't expect much result from doing that right now especially with the situation with both Mitsu and the auto industry in general.

Also, kudos for taking the initiative to bring a MOD event to TX! I wish more dealerships were like you.

As much as we all love our Mitsu rides, you can't help but hold them in low regard as a company...
