Getting the Wheeling Fever
I know, I've seen it before on here, or another site--Switch to turn this off is supposed to be beside the steering column. Didn't see it. Haynes manual says it is behind the speedo cluster. Any of you guys that really have 1 (1989 Montero V^) able to tell me where it is? I've been looking at it since 4/08. Bout blind from the red glare. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/notooth.gif" alt="" />

recessed switch behind speedo cluster. You need to pry up the back cover and look through the windshield to see it. Just flip it the other way to shut off the light.

Also, what's your mileage? At each mileage point there's suggested maintenance to accomplish.

Pull the whole cluster and look at the back. You can't miss it. Towards the speedo side, IIRC.

Don't recall. I and others have posted images/illustrations but I don't have time to do a search for you right now. It only takes a few seconds to spot it through the windshield though.
