I've got a leak at my transmission input shaft. it's a G54 Transmission on an '87 22r. I tried to put a new seal on it last time I did the clutch several years ago, which was when I noticed that the input shaft was grooved. New seal didn't really do much; it still leaked.

I was having a clutch issue where the throw-out bearing was making some noise. I'm pretty sure it finally seized up and wore through the clutch pressure plate fingers, as I have absolutely no clutch at this point.

I was just getting ready to pull the trigger on a Marlin transmission since my second gear is a little crunchy, but aside from the groove on the input shaft, the transmission's in fair shape, and I could probably get by for a good while yet with just a new clutch set, but I need to get that leak fixed.

Anyone ever used a Speedi-Sleeve on a transmission shaft before? I think NAPA carries them. going to go order one today I think ~ $37. Part number is 99114 if anyone finds this several hundred years from now...
