Body Damage is Cool
I thought about for my set up running some of these containers and mounting brackets to lay them flat in the basket. With how tall mine is and adding something like what you have around here I would knock it off. But your set up looks great.

My thinking is you can always mount them flat on the roof or put them inside ratchet strapping them into place if you get into rough terrain.

I've always liked those flat Rotopax gas containers but at $91 for a mere 4 gallon container (2-3x what I paid for the bigger 5 gal Jerry can) I consider them way too $$$$.

I found a place to get them for $50, but I agree pricey. i really like to get some European 10Liter jerry cans about 2.5 gallon which is what I am looking for. That was my thoughts is to lay flat on the roof.

Yeah, the 2.5 gallon (10L) cans would be nice if you can find them but they're harder to find than the 5 gallon cans. It would be great though since I could still use my rack but would have to shorten the part that clamps the Nato cans onto the rack. I also like how well the Nato cans actually seal and have replaceable gaskets. Not so sure about the rotapax units since it's a plastic opening and getting a good seal may be problematic.
