To get them really clean, remove the squirters completely and soak them in vinegar for a few hours to remove the hard water deposits. Then reinstall and aim the nozzles where you'd like them to squirt.

I only use distilled water in my washer reservoirs and don't have any more problems with them becoming clogged, but then again I don't have a need for any freeze protection in my washer fluid.
